“Anointed Announcements” (Memories Series Post 1)

Posted by admin On June - 5 - 2010

As the quadrennial comes to a close, there are a few moments that I cannot forget. Please tune into the “Anointed Announcements,” for your reminiscent pleasure.

These are moments, when we witness the relationships that God kindles within the lives of His people. They remind us, of the promise of our connectionism. Zion will always be relevant because of the relationships built and broken therein. And God still interrupts our proceedings for His Glory.

What was your relationship with God like four years ago, during the last Quadrennial Convention? Have you grown in God since then or abandoned Him? Have you learned to love Him or decided to doubt Him?

Southeastern Regional Recap!

Posted by admin On August - 2 - 2009

The 2009 Southeastern Regional Meeting was held April 24th and 25th by the Marvin AME Zion Church at Marvin Ridge High School. The VCYC Department was excited to worship together in concert on Friday Night with Kenny Curry and NuSpirit.

On Saturday morning, Rev. Darden preached a powerful word: “Lost in the Crowd” from Matthew 3. Following the word, many young people came to the altar to rededicate their lives to the Lord. Tajuan Kyles presented an inspiring workshop to the youth entitled “Putting God in your calendar.” She said at this point of our lives, its important that we pray and read God’s word DAILY and remember that God is the most important one in our lives.

The goal for the Southeastern Region in the final year is that that every local church, district and conference have a working and vital VCYC department. The 2010 Regional Meeting GRAND FINALE will be held April 23-24, 2010 in Spartanburg, SC! To GOD be the glory!

Southeastern Regional Vice President 2006-2010
